PTFE Coated Open Mesh Fabrics are made from high quality open mesh woven fiberglass coated with PTFE resin. The open mesh area allows maximum air flow optimising drying times. Designed to operate in extremes of both temperature and chemical exposure, PTFE mesh belts have been a natural choice for dryer manufactures. It is ideally suited for conveying products and is commonly used in a wide variety of industries, such as gas, electric, infrared(IR), radio frequency(RF), microwave and ultraviolet(UV) conveyorized drying operations.
PTFE coated open mesh fabrics are high‑performance industrial materials made by impregnating woven fiberglass or aramid mesh with PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene). These fabrics combine exceptional heat resistance, non‑stick surface, and mechanical strength, making them ideal for a wide range of industrial applications including conveyor systems, drying ovens, screen printing, packaging and food processing lines.
PTFE coated open mesh fabrics (also known as PTFE mesh conveyor fabrics or Teflon coated open mesh belts) consist of high‑quality mesh base material coated with PTFE resin to deliver superior temperature tolerance (up to ~260°C), controlled porosity, chemical resistance, and a non‑sticky surface. These fabrics are lighter and more flexible than metal mesh while offering better heat distribution and release characteristics.
• Lightweight and energy efficiency for economical operation
• Outstanding temperature resistance (-170oC + 260oC):
▪ Continuous operating temperature from approximately ‑70°C to +260°C.
▪ Suitable for high‑temperature conveyors, ovens and thermal processing.
• Low thermal mass
• Controlled porosity: Open mesh structure allows air or heat circulation, increasing drying efficiency.
• Superior non-stick surface, easy to clean: PTFE coating ensures materials won't adhere even in high heat environments — ideal for drying, cooling, and curing lines.
• Exceptional strength and dimensional stability
• Superior tracking
• Outstanding Chemical & UV Resistance: Withstands aggressive chemicals and sunlight exposure without degradation.
• Strong Mechanical Strength: Reinforced weave (fiberglass, Kevlar or Nomax) offers high tensile strength and dimensional stability under load.
Cost Savings: PTFE belts are less expensive to purchase and, due to their low relative mass, can be operated utilizing a simpler, less expensive pulley and drive system
Energy Savings: PTFE belts provide better heat transfer and absorb less energy
Lower Maintenance Costs: PTFE belts are non-stick and easy to clean
