HDPE rod has many excellent properties, including resistance to most household and industrial chemicals, non-toxic and odorless, excellent wear resistance, electrical insulation, toughness and cold resistance. Its hardness, tensile strength and creep properties are better than low-density polyethylene, and it has low water absorption, is insoluble in any solvent, and can be used at temperatures up to 100°C‌
